We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated individual to become part of the team at Lowerhouse Junior School. The Governors of Lowerhouse Junior School are looking to appoint a Learning Mentor & Teaching Assistant and applications are invited from suitably qualified applicants for this post.
The successful candidate will work under the direct instruction of teaching/senior staff, to:
- Support access to learning for pupils
- Provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom
- Provide small group interventions in maths, reading and writing
- Work may be carried out in the classroom or outside the main teaching area, alongside a teacher/senior member of staff.
As a learning mentor, you will be responsible for supporting a number of individual pupil’s with physical, social, emotional and mental health needs away from the main school site.
