Job description:  



  • Location: Accrington, BB5

  • Job Type: Temporary (Ongoing basis)


Reed/ Lancashire teaching agency are seeking a KS1 Teaching Assistant for a temporary position after Easter 2025 and is expected to last until the end of the academic year!

The role is required for 5 days per week from 08:30-15:30. The candidate is expected to provide learning support to pupils.


Day-to-day of the role:



  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of daily lessons.

  • Provide support to individual students or small groups to help them understand the material and complete their tasks.

  • Work under the guidance of the class teacher to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Help manage classroom resources and setup for activities.

  • Supervise students during non-classroom times including lunch and recess as needed.

  • Contribute to the monitoring and recording of student progress.


Required Skills & Qualifications:



  • Must hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.

  • Experience in a similar role within a school setting is preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with children.

  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

  • A commitment to professional growth and development.
