BSL Learning Support Assistant for a Hearing-Impaired Pupil TA3 Grade 6 Required:
ASAP
The pupil currently attends our Nursery setting but is due to start in Reception at Carleton Green in September 2025.
Carleton Green is a thriving and vibrant school that is child-centred in its approach, with the aim of enabling every child to develop their full potential. We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to provide support for a hearing-impaired pupil who will be starting in our Reception Class. The ideal candidate must be proficient in British Sign Language and demonstrate a proven track record of successfully dealing with children in a school setting. The hours of work will be 32.5 per week.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is patient, sensitive, calm and nurturing and has a good sense of humour
- Has the ability to think “outside the box” and use their imagination
- Has good communication skills and can work effectively as part of a team.
- Has strong behaviour skills
- Is empathetic and passionate about supporting SEND children

This position is to support the pupil throughout their Primary School life. It is term time only. Please note that the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful the salary received will be paid on a pro-rata basis.
