- Reed/LTA are looking for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a central based primary school in Preston, working in classes across EYFS to KS2. This part-time role offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute significantly to the educational development of children. Part-time (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday)
The position is to start ASAP up until the end of the summer term
Day-to-day of the role:
- Support the teaching staff in planning and delivering educational activities.
- Working directly in key stages with all children, providing both group and one-on-one support.
- Assist in the preparation of learning materials and the setup of the learning environment.
- Monitor and evaluate students’ progress and provide feedback to teachers.
- Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a constructive learning atmosphere.
- Step in for teachers as needed to lead lessons and manage the classroom.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of the educational needs of key stages within primary.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage classroom activities and engage children effectively.
- Flexibility and creativity in educational methods.
