The Governors of Peel Park Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic person for this exciting new role which will enable the delivery of Forest School experiences at our school. The role will contribute to the success of delivering the strategic ambitions for the wider pastoral team, and to support the Peel Park ‘School Aims’.
The Forest School Assistant will assist in delivering sessions from our Forest School programmes and for specific projects. The role is delivery focused and will mainly involve facilitating onsite outdoor learning experiences at our Forest School for our children.
We are looking for someone who holds a wide range of skillsets in outdoor learning to be able to:- Assist in delivering the sessions from a programme of linked learning experiences.
- Liaise with the Forest School Lead in advance of session.
- Contribute to maintaining outdoor learning spaces after each use and also contribute to the delivery and review of the learning offer.
- Use existing evaluation processes as required.
- Facilitate learning both outdoors and indoors, where necessary, to support the programme and projects.

This position is part-time, term time only, 18 hours per week to be worked Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9am until 3:30pm

- Forest School Level 2 qualification or demonstrable experience relevant to the role.
- Level 2 or equivalent qualification in English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy GCSE in Maths and English
