We wish to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly team and to work closely with our SENDco to support our children and our teaching staff in our inclusive and friendly school. The successful candidate will support the progress and achievements of children with additional needs working across the primary phases. They will have a passion for and experience of working with pupils across a range of additional needs. They will be proactive, able to work off their own initiative, and model good practice in SEND provision. They must be able to work effectively as part of a team and have a good standard of English and Maths.
Responsibilities
Working closely with the SENDco, the success candidate will:- Deliver interventions for children with SEND including SALT,
- Assist teachers in adapting lesson plans to meet the needs of SEND pupils,
- Support staff to implement I.L.P.s for SEND pupils,
- Monitor and track the progress of SEND pupils and provide regular feedback to the SENDco and to class teachers,
- Build positive relationships to provide a comprehensive support network for SEND pupils,
- Provide short term cover for 1:1 support for a child when the assigned T.A. is unavailable.
This position is term time only. Please note the salary quoted is full-time equivalent.
