From as soon as possible, the Governors are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant Level 2A to join our committed team in this popular school. We are looking to appoint someone with experience of working with children with Autism and SEN. Please include your strengths and experience in your Supporting Statement. The post is a permanent position, on a variable hour contract. We review hours annually to meet the needs of the school. Therefore, candidates will need to be available to work Monday - Friday, 8.45am - 3.15pm, and hours will range between 15hrs - 30.5hrs per week for future academic years. 

The postholder may be required to undertake any of the duties normally associated with a lower graded Teaching Assistant post including supporting the needs of pupil(s) in relation to welfare, hygiene, toileting, dressing, feeding and mobility.  The role will also require the candidate to assist in the proper use of specialist aids and equipment and assist in the supervision of set tasks and integrated therapy for an individual/small group of pupils.

  • Desirable Experience
  • Must hold a Level 2 qualification in Teaching Assistance or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in an SEN setting, with a strong understanding of the challenges and strategies involved in supporting children with special needs.
