REED/LTA are looking for a qualified Nursery Practitioner (Level 3) to join a vibrant pre-school in Preston. This maternity cover role offers flexibility in working days, with options for 4 or 5 days per week. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about early childhood education and looking to make a significant impact in the developmental stages of young children.
The required days and hours are Monday and Wednesday 7:45 am to 5.30pm Tuesday and Thursday 9am to 3pm and Friday 7.45am to 3pm which equates to 36.5 hours a week.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 2-4 years in a pre-school setting.
- Plan and deliver engaging and educational activities that promote children's learning and development.
- Monitor and record children's progress, ensuring developmental milestones are met.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for all children.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a supportive and professional working environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their children's development and daily activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must hold a Level 3 qualification in Nursery Education or equivalent.
- Proven experience working in a nursery or pre-school setting.
- Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and its application in learning activities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing schedules.
