Summary
Due to the popularity of our after-school provision, the governors are seeking to appoint a new Kids’ Club assistant to work alongside our dedicated and hard-working team. The role could be seen as a stepping stone to further opportunities within an educational setting.

At Burscough Village Primary we nurture all members of the school community to allow them to ‘be the best that they can be'. We are a forward-thinking team who are keen to take on new initiatives as well as build on current excellence. The Kids’ Club Assistant should be able to embrace our school initiatives and be able to add their own creativity, strengths, and personality to provide a brilliant extended school provision. We are a fully inclusive school and have a strong skills set amongst our support staff. Staff attend regularly training and enhance their own understanding to meet the needs of our school and children.

We are looking for someone who has a passion for providing high quality, safe and fun after school care. We would like our new members of staff to be fully involved in school life. We use positive praise to encourage the children to thrive in a caring environment. We expect the candidate to be an excellent role model for our pupils.

Our school drivers are Achieve, Nurture, Growth-Mindset, Environment, Community and Pupil voice. We encourage our children to experience a range of activities within the Kids’ club. We are looking for an employee who will adopt a warm, caring, and friendly approach. Our wrap-around care is open to all pupils from 2 – 11 years old. The playworker will need to be organised and flexible to plan activities for all ages. We would like you to share your ideas and make the activities with the team weekly.

If you think you think are a proactive and problem-solving team player, please apply.

The school is committed to safer recruitment practices and pre-employment checks will be undertaken before any appointment is confirmed. The post is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure. Burscough Village Primary School is supporting a fully inclusive culture and promoting equality and diversity across all of our operations.
