Vacancy – Teaching Assistant Level 2
Start Date: 22nd April 2025 or as soon as possible after this date.
- Part time, term time only.
- Grade 5 SCP 6-11. £25,183 - £27,269 FTE. Actual salary £17,984 - £19,474.
- Permanent contract

- 8.45am – 3.30pm Monday to Friday. 31.25 hours per week with ˝ hour unpaid lunch.
The Headteacher and Governors of St Mary’s RC Primary School are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and talented Teaching Assistant to work alongside our hardworking, dedicated team in either our Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 provision.
St Mary’s Langho is a happy thriving school set within the beautiful area of Langho and the Ribble Valley. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed teaching assistant to join our happy and dynamic staff team.
You will assist in the delivery, evaluation and adaptation of the curriculum. Under the general supervision and direction of the teacher you will:
- Implement learning activities for individuals and groups
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to the class teacher
- Establish supportive and constructive relationships with pupils
- The role will include daily lunchtime supervision of pupils, first aid, gate and playground duties

- Desirable Qualifications

- NVQ level 2 or above qualification –appropriate to the post (or equivalent)
- Level 2 or equivalent qualification in English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy
- First Aid/Paediatric First Aid Certificate
- NVQ level 2 or above qualification –appropriate to the post (or equivalent)
