Summary
Crawford village Primary School has a vacancy for an enthusiastic and experienced After School Club Manager. Successful applicants will be responsible for providing high-quality, safe and stimulating after school care for the children attending the club. This position is part time, term time only, 3.30pm to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. Please note, the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro–rata basis.  Please note, the school may be open to discussing flexible holiday arrangements during term-time. 

Main duties include:
  • Planning, preparing and delivering quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment.
  • Providing comprehensive care for the children including registering them into the club and delivering them safely to parents/carers.
  • Providing refreshments and ensuring that hygiene, health and safety standards are met.
  • Administering first aid when necessary.
  • Setting up the play space.
  • Consulting with children and involving them in planning activities.
  • Undertaking appropriate and relevant training.
  • Monitoring and maintaining a healthy, safe and secure working environment.
  • Working within the framework of the club’s policies and procedures, and the Early Years Foundation Stage

  • Ability to work on own initiative, using judgement and common sense
  • Familiarity with the Early Years Foundation Stage

  • Desirable Experience
  • At least 2 years’ experience of working in a childcare setting
  • Experience of working within a play-based setting
  • Current driving licence
