Summary
The Governors and staff of Rufford Church of England Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, organised, proactive and hardworking Site Supervisor to our school team. Our school is a very friendly, happy place where all staff get on well together and it is vital that our new site supervisor is keen to become an integral part of our team. As we are a small school, it is essential that our site supervisor is self-directed, takes the initiative and takes a real pride in caring for our lovely school.

The main objectives to be achieved by the successful post-holder are:

Under the general direction and instruction of the Headteacher to contribute to the smooth running of the school by carrying out a range of cleaning and caretaking duties to the agreed quality standards, including security and supervision of the site (to act as keyholder).

It is envisaged that the majority of time will be spent on cleaning duties, maintenance and compliance checks with the balance of duties being determined by the needs of the school.

This is a permanent position of 20 hours per week on a full year contract: 39 weeks term time, 6 weeks deep clean and maintenance during non-term time.

The role involves split shift working: 7.00 - 8.30am and 3.30 - 6.00 pm. 

Specific hours worked each day during school holidays are negotiable as there is no need to work around the school session times.

Desirable Qualifications

NVQ Level 2 qualification in caretaking or equivalent

Desirable Experience

Experience of undertaking manual tasks (e.g. maintenance, DIY etc)

Experience of security-related duties
