Reed Education/Lancashire Teaching Agency are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for an “Good” Ofsted rated school in Blackburn to provide 1:1 support for a year 2 student identified with SEN needs. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a difference in students’ lives and thrives in a supportive educational environment. The role is required for 5 days per week between 08:30 – 15:30.
Day-to-day of the role:- Provide tailored support to students, ensuring their educational and social development.
- Assist with the planning and delivery of individual learning activities.
- Work closely with the classroom teacher to monitor the student’s progress.
- Implement strategies to support the student’s learning and engagement.
- Facilitate a safe and positive learning environment.
- Adapt to the student’s needs and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
Required Skills & Qualifications:- Experience working with children with SEN and SEMH
- TA2 qualification or equivalent.
- Experience in providing support within an educational setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards student development.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other staff members.
- A commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding practices.
