Summary
LTA are looking for a motivated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a Key Stage 2 class at a friendly primary school in the South Ribble area. This morning-only role is ideal for someone who is passionate about contributing to the educational development of children aged 7-11. The position has the potential to extend until the end of the academic year for the right candidate. The hours are 8.45am to 12:00pm Monday to Friday (16.25 hours per week).

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Assist in preparing and delivering educational materials and activities for Key Stage 2 pupils.
  • Support the classroom teacher in managing class behaviour and ensuring a positive learning environment.
  • Help with the setup and cleanup of classroom activities.
  • Work closely with small groups or individual students to reinforce learning objectives and provide personalised support.
  • Monitor and record student progress in collaboration with the lead teacher.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions as required.

    Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or a related field.
  • Previous experience working with Key Stage 2 pupils is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to supporting children’s learning.
