Summary
The children, staff, and governors of Lordsgate Township CE Primary School would like to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated, and skilled Teaching Assistant (Level 2b). The successful candidate will be required to carry out a range of roles including working with groups, individuals and  supporting children with additional needs.  The position is initially offered with a full time timetable of 27.33 hours, Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate will need to have proven experience of working in a primary school classroom and the ability to  support pupils with the Social and Emotional aspects of learning. You will be joining our team of dedicated and hardworking teaching assistants who set high standards for the children and show care and consideration for their needs.

  • Essential Qualifications
  • NVQ level 2 in relevant child care qualification
  • GCSE or equivalent qualification in English and Mathematics

  • Desirable Qualifications
  • Additional CPD or training related to children with additional needs
  • Additional CPD or training related to children's emotional health and wellbeing
  • Additional CPD or training related to interventions with individuals or small groups

  • Essential Experience
  • Experience of working in a Primary School Classroom

  • Desirable Experience
  • Experience of  meeting the needs of children with special educational needs and speech, language and communication issues
  • Experience of working in a relevant classroom environment including EYFS/KS1
  • Experience of supporting children with their social and emotional needs
  • Experience of supporting pupils with challenging behaviours
