Summary
We are seeking to enhance our school support team through the appointment of a Teaching Assistant who will contribute to the pastoral care and academic support we provide for all our pupils. The primary provision at Ribblesdale School opened in September 2023 and we currently have classes in EYFS and Year 1. The successful candidate will be experienced in working with younger children with additional needs and would have the ability and willingness to support pupils with communication and interaction needs on a one-to-one and small group basis.

The successful applicant will work collaboratively with our teachers and other support staff to ensure that the personal, social and learning needs of all pupils, including those with special educational needs, are met. Our Teaching Assistants establish positive, supportive and constructive relationships with pupils, parents, carers, school staff and governors and the wider community, contributing ideas and strategies for the benefit of our pupils. They assist with the planning, delivery and evaluation of the curriculum, ensuring that high-quality learning experiences are accessed by all.

As a Teaching Assistant at Ribblesdale, you will:

• Deliver learning activities for individuals and groups across EYFS and KS1, both within the classroom, one-to-one and as small group withdrawal sessions
• Engage in training to enable you to make optimal use of educational technology to support pupils’ learning
• Support subject specialist teachers in making the curriculum accessible to all learners and in implementing quality first teaching strategies.

Please note that in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2024, an online search will be carried out as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates.

Please note CVs are not accepted, to apply for this vacancy you need to complete the application form attached.
