Summary
Our Lady’s Catholic High School is a highly successful oversubscribed 11–16 mixed High School of 900 pupils serving mainly the Catholic community in the north of Preston. The Senior Technician post will involve assisting teachers and other technicians in the preparation and maintenance of teaching resources and equipment for pupils in the Science Department and provide support to small groups of pupils when undertaking practical tasks. The successful candidate will need to possess excellent written and oral communication skills, relevant practical skills and have the ability to work flexibly as part of a team. They must also have 5 A*-C GCSE’s including Mathematics and English (or equivalent).

This position is part time, term time only with working hours of 9am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday. The salary quoted is full time equivalent but the actual salary received will be paid on a pro-rata basis: This will be between £17,265 and £19,208 per annum. Essential Qualifications

Knowledge and experience of the appropriate use of specialist equipment and ability to communicate and demonstrate this knowledge effectively to staff and pupils.
