Summary
LTA / Reed Education are seeking a Qualified and dedicated KS2 Teaching Assistant for a Preston based primary school from September. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning and development in Key Stage 2. The successful candidate will work full-time, 30 hours a week.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of engaging educational activities for KS2 pupils.
  • Support individual students and small groups to help them understand the material and complete tasks.
  • Work closely with the class teacher to monitor pupils’ progress and provide feedback.
  • Help manage classroom resources and create a stimulating learning environment.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and support the development of pupils’ social skills.
  • Assist with the organisation and supervision of school events and trips.
  • Contribute to the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils.

    Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children, particularly in a KS2 setting.
  • Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and educational needs of children aged 7-11.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under the guidance of the class teacher.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive, encouraging attitude.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
