Summary
An opportunity has arisen for two teaching assistants to work with within our wonderful, community school.

  • Post 1 – 7:45am – 12:30pm – Monday – Friday - 23.75 hours per week - Term Time Only
  • Post 2 – 12:15pm – 18:15pm – Monday – Friday - 30 hours per week - Term Time Only

Annual NJC pay increase pending. Please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent, actual salary received will be paid on a pro-rata basis.

We require the candidates to be flexible and use their skills in a range of ways. The role will be diverse and include working with the children during Kids’ Club, in a teaching assistant role and lunchtimes. During the morning or afternoon, you will be working in a class supporting the children’s learning or providing intervention for smaller groups of children.

We are a forward-thinking school, and we would like to hear from like-minded people who will support and nurture the children at BVPS. For these roles we are not specifically looking for someone with a childcare qualification (although this would be desirable), we would encourage you to apply if you feel you have the transferable skills from previous experience or qualifications.

Our school curriculum drivers are Achieve, Nurture, Growth-Mindset, Environment, Community and Pupil Voice. We provide a range of activities based on these values, so our children become well rounded individuals. We are looking for an employee who will adopt a warm, caring, friendly approach with a can-do attitude in everything they do.

We would like our new members of staff to be fully involved in school life. This includes community links, musical productions, organising events and supporting with trips. We use positive praise to encourage the children to thrive in a caring environment. We expect the candidate to be an excellent role model for our pupils.

If you think you would fit perfectly into our school, we would strongly encourage you to apply.  You can view our website and social media accounts to gain a feel for our school.

Please note that in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2023, an online search will be carried out as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates.

Please note CVs are not accepted, to apply for this vacancy you need to complete the application form attached.

Please note that this vacancy closes at 9am on15/07/2024
