At Pendle Primary Academy, we pride ourselves on being an inclusive school in which all children are enabled to thrive and succeed regardless of need, which is why we are excited to be able to offer an opportunity for the right candidate to join our team as a level 3 teaching assistant, working initially in Key Stage 2 to support teachers in ensuring that children are offered the best possible education.

Working alongside our existing Key Stage 2 team, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting teachers in curriculum delivery, as well as covering classes where required, delivering lessons planned by the teacher.

The ideal candidate will be a passionate and dynamic practitioner with previous experience of supporting children in Key Stage 2. With a focus on team work and sharing good practice, they will be committed to their own continuous professional development in order to continuously improve the educational offer for children at Pendle Primary Academy.

Specific duties will include:
  • Supporting classroom teachers to deliver the curriculum to all children, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Education and Health Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Covering classes where the teacher is unavailable, delivering lessons which have been planned for by a teacher or other appropriate member of staff.
