Summary
We are thrilled to be able to advertise for a Senior Science Technician to work with our Science Team.  We are ideally looking for someone who is already experienced with working in schools, and preferably as a science technician, but if you think you meet all other criteria, just without the experience, don't let it put you off - we are a school who believes in supporting and developing our people.

The role is 37 hours per week (full-time), but Term Time Only with 2 INSET days. Whilst working 38.4 weeks per year, you would also be paid for holidays, therefore you would be paid for 44.09 weeks per year (45.3 after 5 years of service with Lancashire County council)

You'll need to be flexible, and adaptable - no 2 days are the same.  But above all else you need to have a passion for science and for supporting pupils.

It's a big job - in addition to preparing for practical's, supporting pupils in practical's, and overseeing the H&S and COSHH regulations, you will support the department in managing the science budget.  Make sure you have a good read of the job description in the candidate pack to fully understand the role.

You may be interested, but just "not sure yet" - then give us a call and we can have an honest discussion.  But don't wait too long, as we reserve the right to close the vacancy should we get sufficient appropriate applicants - and we normally get A LOT of applicants for this kind of role.

If you already have the experience that we are looking for, then we will compensate you accordingly - and pay at the top of the scale.

Contact reception in the first instance on 01706 223171, and ask for Justine Lee, School Business Manager

Please note CVs are not accepted, to apply for this vacancy you need to complete the application form attached.
