Summary

We are looking for an outgoing, creative, passionate, and knowledgeable Teaching Assistant to add value to our supportive, successful, and positive team. We are looking for a TA with experience in EYFS and SEND to work alongside our friendly and dedicated staff team.

Within your role you will assist with the management of the class, carry out interventions in Phonics, Maths and English and deliver programmes tailored to children's needs.  The ideal candidate for this role will have experience working with children in an early years setting and a passion for providing pupils with an enriched, exciting, and supportive environment.

    Working hours - This position is a term time role, so if successful, the salary received will be on a pro-rata basis with the expectation that the post holder attends inset days for appropriate training events (for additional reimbursement) The working hours are 30hpw Monday to Friday 8.30am till 3.30pm (with an unpaid 30-minute lunchbreak) paid at TA2B, plus 2.5 hpw welfare responsibilities paid at FLW.

  • Essential Qualifications
  • NVQ level 2 or above qualification/appropriate to the post (or equivalent)
  • GCSE Grade C or above in English and Mathematics or equivalent

  • Essential Experience
  • Experience of working with children in a EYFS and/or KS1 classroom environment.
  • Knowledge of National Curriculum.
  • Ability to operate at a level of understanding and competence equivalent to NVQ Level 2 standard or above.
  • Ability to relate well to children and to work as part of a team
  • Good communication, numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Ability to supervise and assist pupils.
