Summary
Mckee College House is a Pupil Referral Unit based in Poulton Le Fylde.  We have capacity for 124 students on roll from within the Fylde and Wyre area.  In partnership with parents, carers and other agencies we aim to provide for students, a safe and stimulating learning environment, creating opportunities for academic and personal success.

We are now looking to appoint two enthusiastic, highly motivated and skilled Inclusion Keyworkers to join our team.  

Our Inclusion keyworkers should bring a trauma informed approach to the relationships they develop with the students.  Build a shared understanding of the needs of the student and true desire to be an advocate for the students under their care.

The role will involve supporting teaching and learning, delivering interventions and being a keyworker to students and families.   

We would be looking for someone with a passion to work with young people who have faced many barriers in their lives.  This role would suit someone with a background in social care or youth work, a current Teaching Assistant or someone who is looking to gain experience in an educational setting before embarking on teacher training or social care degree.

The post is a Grade 6 (£25,979 to £29,777 per annum  The actual salary will be pro rata)

The hours of work are 32.5 per week 8.30am to 3.30pm, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 8.30am to 4pm Wednesday, 8.30am to 3pm Friday, term time only with an additional five INSET days.

Essential Qualifications
  • NVQ level 3 or above qualification (or equivalent) - in exceptional circumstances, where local circumstances dictate, qualifications may be viewed as desirable
  • GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
