Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate teaching assistant who has experience of working with children with ASD. This role involves working 1:1 with a child supporting their individual needs, helping them to reach their full potential and following their educational health care plan.

You will work closely with the class teacher, SENDCO and the family, attend relevant meetings and work collaboratively to ensure the best and safest care is offered. The candidate will be creative, energetic and flexible, able to set up and carry out a wealth of suitable learning opportunities for a child with complex learning needs.

You will be joining an excellent and supportive team who you will work closely with, helping to set up and tidy away at the start and end of each day, carrying out nappy changes, supporting in snack time alongside all other tasks relating to the pupil in your care.

  • 1:1 work with a non verbal child with ASD
  • Carry out 1:1 learning activities 
  • Work towards the EHCP targets
  • Nappy changes 
  • Oversee safe meal and snack times
  • Ensure the child’s safety at all times
  • Communicate with staff and family

    Level 2 TA qualification

    Experience of working with children in a Primary or Nursery school

    Experience of supporting child with Autistic Spectrum Disorder

    Experience of supporting child with Speech and Language needs
