Summary
The governors of this very successful Catholic High School wish to appoint a Finance Officer for 25 hours per week, term time plus 5 days, to join our Business Support Team.

The successful candidate will:
  • Work as part of the Business Support Team to address the needs of the school;

  • Be willing to go the extra mile for our pupils.

    You would be joining a team of over 50 support staff, all of whom play key roles in the smooth running of the school. The school has an annual budget of approximately £6.5 million, managed by the Business Manager, Finance Manager and Finance Officer.

    The main duties are:
  • to manage all aspects of the school’s cashless dining income;
  • to process all orders and invoices;
  • to manage the day to day running of the school’s non-public account;
  • to provide financial administration for the Schools Games Organiser;
  • to produce and update spreadsheets for a wide range of data;

  • GCSE’s or equivalent at Grade 4/C or above in Maths and English

  • Has excellent numeracy skills
  • Enjoys the company of young people and others typical of those one would expect in a school
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Outlook, Word and Excel with excellent keyboard skills
  • Able to use the Internet effectively and efficiently
  • Desirable Experience
  • Has knowledge of the use of SIMS / FMS
  • Has a basic knowledge of how schools are organised and managed
