Summary
The Governing Board at Bacup Nursery School are looking to appoint a hard-working and organised School Business Support Officer to work alongside the Bursar in a very busy school office.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Administration Assistant to provide support to the office ensuring the smooth running of the nursery school on a day to day basis. The job holder will work under the direction or instruction of senior staff. The successful candidate will have a commitment to providing high levels of service, be able to form positive relationships at all levels with colleagues, children and parents, and have a high standard of professionalism with a determination to make an impact in our outstanding nursery school.

Please note, this position is a Permanent Variable contract. Minimum 12 hours per week, maximum 30 hours per week. 

Required from 2nd September 2024.
Start time 8.30am. (negotiable)

Essential Qualifications
  • Maths GCSE Grade A-C or equivalent
  • English GCSE Grade A-C or equivalent

  • Essential Experience
  • Approachable and welcoming as one of the first points of contact for the nursery school
  • Competent in Microsoft Office
  • Preparation of data reports, letters/documents


    Key skills to include:
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Reliable and hard working
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Competent in using social media to promote the nursery school

  • Desirable Experience
  • Working in a school office environment
  • Experience of School administration systems - SIMS and Finance
  • Experience of cash handling and banking
