Summary
St John’s Catholic Primary School is a school with excellent relationships with our pupils, families and the wider community. We have a friendly and dedicated team of teaching and support staff. 

Our Governing Body is looking to appoint a temporary part-time Teaching Assistant who is flexible and adaptable, and able to motivate and inspire individual children with very specific needs. The successful candidate will primarily support individual children and groups in our Reception and/or Y1 class. 

We are looking for a person who is friendly, has a positive attitude, who is hardworking and able to use their own initiative. You will be fully involved in teaching, learning and assessment and supporting the children in our care.

The post is for 2 days per week, Thursdays and Fridays, 11.5 hours per week, term time only.

The successful applicant will: 

  • Have experience and/or knowledge of supporting children with SEND

  • Essential Qualifications
    NVQ Level 2 or above, or equivalent, childcare qualification 
    a minimum of 5 GCSEs, including Maths and English at grade C/4 or above
