Summary
New Longton All Saints’ is a single-form entry Church of England Primary school situated in the lovely village of New Longton. We pride ourselves on our welcoming and caring ethos and are excited to be able to look for a new team member to join us and support the children with their learning.

We are looking for a driven, child-centred EYFS Teaching Assistant who is enthusiastic and keen to learn and improve in a nurturing and innovative environment.

The post will be in our EYFS Unit (Nursery & Reception) and Oaky’s Club after school care, working with our existing staff team and will be 30 hours per week at TA2a with some Level 3 requirements.

This position is part-time, term time only, please note the salary received will be paid on a pro rata basis.

  • Essential Qualifications

     An approved Level 3 or above Early Years Qualification 

    Level 2/ GCSE A*-C (Grade 9-4) or equivalent qualification in English/Literacy and Mathematics/ Numeracy

    Desirable Qualifications

    Paediatric First Aid Certificate



    Essential Experience

    Knowledge of EYFS curriculum

    Commitment to safeguarding

    Knowledge of Early Reading and Phonics strategies

    Understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities

    Working with children aged 3-5 years

    Desirable Experience

    Working in different settings

    Experience of small group interventions

    Supporting children with barriers to learning
