We are looking for several full time Teaching Assistants (25 hours per week), one position may be considered to be permanent and the others to be 12 months in the first instance. This will be for a September start.

The posts will include general class based Teaching Assistant responsibilities as well as supporting children with Special Educational Needs, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties as part of a class team approach. The year groups for the general Teaching Assistant posts have yet to be determined and will reflect the range of applications we receive.

With all our Teaching Assistant posts, there will also be additional welfare hours available for 5 hours per week.

Westgate is a very large mainstream primary school serving the community in Morecambe. The pupils are at the centre of everything we do with a committed, experienced and hard-working staff base meeting the needs of the children we are responsible for.
