At Poulton-le-Sands CE Primary School, we are seeking an excellent, dedicated and motivated teacher to join our team as our SENDCo and PPA Teacher. This unique role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to teach across the school through PPA cover, developing a deep understanding of how children learn at every stage, while also benefiting from dedicated release time to lead and develop our SEND provision. As our SENDCo, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring every child receives the support they need to flourish. 

We are looking for someone with experience of  teaching across the primary age range, a relevant SEND qualification or be willing to undertake the qualification, and an understanding of inclusive practice, how to adapt teaching and the curriculum to meet the needs of all learners. The successful candidate will also lead at least one curriculum subject, so please include details of your subject leadership experience and areas of expertise within your application.

  • A qualified SENDCo, or desire to undertake this training

  • A teacher with experience of assessing children with additional needs to show progress
