Information

The Governing Body of Wellfield Methodist & Anglican Church School invite applications from suitably qualified, and dedicated teachers to join our team.  We would like to appoint a creative and inspiring part-time teacher (0.5) from January 2026 or sooner.  The successful candidate will initially work in Year 1 as part of a job share.  The working pattern for this role will be Wednesday afternoon, all day Thursday and Friday.   This position is suitable for teachers in the early stages of their careers; ECTs - applications are welcome.

Are hard-working and inspiring classroom practitioners with an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum for ages 4 – 11.

Work well as a member of a team and have adaptability and flexibility in working practices across both key stage 1 and 2;

Are able to build good relationships with both children and parents;

Strive to nurture, motivate and develop every child through high expectations of learning, achievement, progress and behaviour; putting them first in everything they do.

Like to make learning fun and exciting for children;

Have a good sense of humour;

Are supportive of our Christian ethos.

Essential Qualifications

Qualified Teacher Status

Degree (or equivalent)

Recent participation in relevant training

Desirable Qualifications

Paediatric First Aid

Essential Experience

Relevant, successful teaching experience in a primary school

Recent and relevant training in safeguarding pupils

Desirable Experience

A practising Christian faith

Experience of teaching in both KS1 and KS2

Leadership/Knowledge of leading a subject area

Experience of teaching and assessing phonics
