The Governors of Barrow URC Primary School are seeking to employ a strong, enthusiastic and inspirational Deputy Head teacher who embodies the mission of our school ‘Rooted in God’s love, everyone growing together to become the best that we can be.’

In addition to being a creative and excellent classroom practitioner the ideal candidate will be a determined and ambitious leader with the vision and skills to work effectively alongside the Headteacher in the key strategic role of raising standards. We require a leader who will support and promote our Christian ethos in both school and our wider community whilst developing inspirational learning experiences across the curriculum.

We are looking for a deputy headteacher who;
  • Is a committed Christian and can promote the Christian ethos within our school and our wider community;
  • Is an inspirational and outstanding classroom practitioner who leads by example and who motivates, inspires and challenges staff and children to 'be the best they can be.
  • Is passionate about children's learning and has a proven track record of raising attainment and developing the whole child.
  • Has high expectations and will inspire, challenge and encourage staff to achieve the best outcomes for themselves and our pupils, enabling them to reach their full potential;
  • Is innovative and forward thinking with a progressive vision for school improvement through drive, ambition and creativity.
  • Is an excellent communicator who will work with all staff, pupils, parents, governors, diocesan officers, advisers and the wider community.
