The governors of this ambitious Catholic school wish to appoint a dynamic and inspirational Lead Practitioner for Science. We are seeking candidates of the highest calibre to lead the Science team which comprises 7 teachers. The person appointed will be able to demonstrate excellence in their own teaching, as well as outstanding success in leading others. You will have a proven track record at GCSE level and teach Science across the full age & ability range, including both Combined and Separate Science at KS4. The role would suit an experienced Scientist who is looking to progress their career and contribute to the school’s whole-school aims. If you are interested in developing professionally and can validate relevant experience this post offers a great opportunity to work in a school where pupil behaviour is very good.

The successful candidate will:

Be an excellent classroom practitioner and possess strong subject knowledge

Be able to demonstrate success in leading others

Have the confidence and professional credibility to support others

Understand the power of data to analyse performance and manage interventions

Be knowledgeable in the latest pedagogical developments
