The governors of Goosnargh Oliverson’s Church of England Primary School are looking to appoint an excellent class teacher to join our friendly and dedicated team. Initially in year 4, the successful applicant will be confident and flexible enough to teach across the primary age range, including year 6.

Oliverson’s is a happy and exciting place to learn, currently catering for 195 wonderful children between the ages of 4 to 11, it also benefits from an on-site nursery. The school is situated in a rural setting with an outstanding outdoor space. Oliverson’s has an excellent reputation locally and boasts a strong family feeling; learning with joy, love and laughter is at the heart of all that we do. Parents are incredibly supportive and our children are keen to learn. 

We promote a broad curriculum and value the talents in our children in all areas from maths and reading to gardening and “people” skills. You will be joining a team with a “can do” ethos; working alongside wonderful, fun-loving colleagues who have positive mindsets and a will to do their best for children, families and each other. We are seeking someone who proactively wants to learn from, but also add, to this already successful team.

  • Essential Qualifications
  • Qualified teacher status (teaching degree or equivalent)
  • Experience of working in Key Stage 2 (Experience can relate to teaching practice for NQT)

  • The qualities of a capable and effective teacher with evidence of excellent teaching
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
  • A sense of perspective, a good communicator and has a sense of humour
