Crawford is a small village school with a thriving community ethos. The children, staff and governors of this happy would like to appoint a creative and inspirational teacher to teach a KS2 mixed age class and to undertake the role of SENDCo

The post is for a full-time KS2 teacher.  As a small school, all of our dedicated staff have multiple roles and responsibilities. We are therefore looking for someone who would also effectively lead more than one subject area within our school (please state curricular strengths and areas of interest). Additionally, the successful candidate will also take on the role of SENDCo and the school will be happy to offer dedicated SENDCo time, plus support to any candidate who may need to complete the necessary training required to undertake this role.

The successful candidate will:
  • be an exemplary classroom practitioner, with proven outstanding teaching skills and an EXCELLENT attendance record
  • have experience of working within a KS2 setting
  • have the experience or willingness to lead more than one subject area throughout the school
  • have the experience or willingness to undertake the role of SENDCo
  • demonstrate high standards of behaviour management using a nurturing approach
  • be inspirational to the children and a team player
  • be able to adjust activities to include children of all abilities including children with SEND
  • be committed to whole school improvement through being part of, and contributing to, a whole school team
  • be experienced in promoting the well-being of pupils, providing guidance and nurture
  • maintain excellent relationships with parents, children and staff
