Crawford is a small village school with a thriving community ethos. We pride ourselves on the family atmosphere that permeates all aspects of school life, providing children with the genuine care and nurture that they need to thrive, from their early years through to Year 6. All our staff strive to ensure that all children feel happy, safe, secure and truly valued as individuals in our school family.

The children, staff and governors of this happy would like to appoint a creative and inspirational teacher to teach a KS2 mixed age class and to undertake the role of SENDCo

The post is for a full-time KS2 teacher.  As a small school, all of our dedicated staff have multiple roles and responsibilities. Additionally, the successful candidate will also take on the role of SENDCo and the school will be happy to offer dedicated SENDCo time, plus support to any candidate who may need to complete the necessary training required to undertake this role.

The successful candidate will:
  • be an exemplary classroom practitioner, with proven outstanding teaching skills and an EXCELLENT attendance record
  • have experience of working within a KS2 setting
  • have the experience or willingness to lead more than one subject area throughout the school
  • have the experience or willingness to undertake the role of SENDCo
  • demonstrate high standards of behaviour management using a nurturing approach
  • be inspirational to the children and a team player
  • be able to adjust activities to include children of all abilities including children with SEND
  • be committed to whole school improvement through being part of, and contributing to, a whole school team
  • be experienced in promoting the well-being of pupils, providing guidance and nurture
  • maintain excellent relationships with parents, children and staff

    In return we can offer:
  • the opportunity to join our friendly, committed and welcoming team
  • hard working and supportive colleagues who demonstrate drive and passion for high quality education
  • the opportunity to take on leadership responsibilities
  • fantastic, well-behaved and enthusiastic pupils
  • a supportive Governing Body
  • excellent opportunities for continued professional development

Visits to the school are most welcome (depending on COVID restrictions); visits will take place on Monday 10th January at 4pm and Thursday 13th January at 1:30pm. Please contact our school bursar, Mrs Sarah Roberts on 01695 622333, to arrange a viewing.
