Information

The Governors of Thorn Primary School are looking to appoint a KS2 Class Teacher to start 1st January 2022, on a temporary contract basis for 12 months, leading to a permanent position for the right candidate.

Thorn Primary school is a happy and caring school, with committed and hardworking pupils, staff and governors. We work well as a team and have a drive to improve learning for pupils. Ofsted graded the school as “outstanding” at its last inspection.

Essential Qualifications

Qualified teacher status (teaching degree or equivalent)

Experience of working in Key Stage 2, (Experience can relate to teaching practice for NQT)

Essential Experience

The qualities of a capable and effective teacher with excellent classroom practise

Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues

A sense of perspective and a sense of humour

Flexibility

Good communicator

Experience of planning for other adults in the classroom
