Information
The Governors of Thorn Primary School are looking to appoint a KS2 Class Teacher to start 1st January 2022, on a temporary contract basis for 12 months, leading to a permanent position for the right candidate.

Thorn Primary school is a happy and caring school, with committed and hardworking pupils, staff and governors. We work well as a team and have a drive to improve learning for pupils. Ofsted graded the school as “outstanding” at its last inspection.

  • Essential Qualifications
  • Qualified teacher status (teaching degree or equivalent)
  • Experience of working in Key Stage 2, (Experience can relate to teaching practice for NQT)
  • Essential Experience
  • The qualities of a capable and effective teacher with excellent classroom practise
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
  • A sense of perspective and a sense of humour
  • Flexibility
  • Good communicator
  • Experience of planning for other adults in the classroom
