The Governors are looking for an inspirational, qualified EYFS Teacher (QTS) to join and lead an experienced and knowledgeable nursery school team.

Stoneyholme Nursery School is an outstanding local authority, maintained school on the outskirts of Burnley, close to the M65. It has a strong 50 year history of providing early education, care and support to two, three and four-year-old children and their families in an inclusive environment through the close partnership with the local community, schools and other agencies.

    We are seeking to appoint an experienced, qualified EYFS Teacher (QTS) who:
  • is an inspirational teacher with a passion and enthusiasm for early years teaching with a record of good/outstanding practice and knowledge of the EYFS Statutory Framework.
  • has an excellent understanding of how young children learn and develop from birth to 5 years, with a strong Early Years pedagogy
  • demonstrates a deep commitment to safeguarding and inclusion
  • has excellent interpersonal skills to both lead and work as part of a team
  • is wholeheartedly committed to working with families, the wider community and multi-agency working.

    The main purpose of the role is to:
  • carry out the professional duties of a teacher in accordance with the current School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions document and Teachers’ Standards.
  • assist the Headteacher to deliver the highest possible educational and care standards in the school, and create a learning environment in which children feel valued and staff have high expectations.
  • assist and support the Headteacher in the roles of SENCO, Designated Safeguarding Lead and the operational management of the school.

    The post is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exemptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013). If successful you will be required to apply to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) for a 'disclosure'. Information provided by you or the DBS will be dealt with in a confidential manner in accordance with the DBS' Code of Practice.   • Essential Qualifications
  • Degree with Qualified Teacher Status.

  • Level 3 Forest School accreditation

  • Recent delivery of high-quality teaching, learning and assessment in the EYFS.
