The Governors of Slyne-with-Hest St Luke's Church of England Primary School are looking to appoint a highly-motivated, enthusiastic class teacher, to join our team which was graded good by Ofsted (May 2016) and outstanding in our Diocesan SIAMs inspection (September 2016).

This is a temporary position and comes as a result of permanent members of staff being on adoption and maternity leaves. The post is initially for one term until 31st December but there is a good chance that some or all of the hours may be needed from January 2022 as well. The role is across 3 classes in KS2 and will involve:
Tuesday afternoon : Year 6 (PPA cover)
Wednesday all day: Year 5 (SENCo time release)
Thursday and Friday : as part of a job share in Year 4

The school has 229 pupils on role organised into 8 classes. In KS2 there are 5 single age classes (Y3, 2 small Y4 classes, Y5 and Y6). In September 2021 there will be 20 children in the year 4 class, 29 children in Year 5 and 35 in Year 6.
The Governors are looking for a teacher who:
- is committed to promoting the strong Christian ethos of our school
- has high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour
- is creative and innovative along with having a sense of humour
- has excellent teaching skills and the ability to inspire children in KS2
- has at least 2 years successful teaching experience in KS2
- can work as part of a dedicated team and be flexible
