We are expanding our highly successful science department and an opportunity has arisen for an ambitious lead teacher for Chemistry as it grows further.

At Shuttleworth College our students are at the centre of everything we do. Our driving purpose is to make sure that they enjoy their time at school with us and achieve their very best. Science is absolutely essential to this aim and as such we wish to appoint a qualified Science teacher who will inspire, motivate and engage our young people.
The successful candidate will be a Science specialist with a specialism of chemistry and a passion for the subject and an eagerness to inspire our students to reach their full potential. You will have the ability to consistently deliver captivating and inspiring lessons, engaging students through an outstanding, rewarding learning experience. In return you will receive excellent guidance from an experienced and outstanding curriculum leader and you will be actively supported to develop your knowledge and your career. A willingness to engage in wider school projects and contribute to the extracurricular life of the school is essential.

Shuttleworth College is a rapidly improving 11-16 College in Burnley located within easy reach of the M65 and is easily accessible from many parts of Lancashire and Manchester. The college is on a very exciting journey and the improvements in the college have recently been acknowledged by OFSTED grading both behaviour and leadership as good, and acknowledging the fantastic work going on here.
