Lancashire County Council have a successful ongoing partnership with Reed Education to provide Whole School Recruitment to Secondary Schools across Lancashire. As a result, Reed Education are seeking a Full or Part Time SENCO starting as soon as possible (however they may wait till September 2021 for the right person) at a 'GOOD' school near Lancaster.

The role is to cover an immediate Maternity vacancy and is until April 2022. The pay rate would be dependent on the applicant the school are willing to pay UPS plus TLR or Lower Grade Leadership they want to ensure they have the right person for the role. There is a SENCO currently working Part Time in school for the summer term therefore there would be handover support whilst starting the role.

The successful applicant must:
  • Must have a SENCO Qualification.
  • Must have recent relevant experience working as a SENCO in ideally Secondary however they would consider an applicant from a Primary or Specialist School background.
  • The school have a small number of complex statement pupils who have longstanding support already in place. The successful applicant would be supporting and enhancing provisions already in place.
  • A strong commitment to supporting and developing every child in school.
  • A leadership commitment to teamwork and support the current teams in school with excellent interpersonal skills.
