Year 5 teacher 2.5 days with 1.0 SEN day (3.5 days)
The Governors of Penwortham Primary School are seeking to appoint an excellent teacher who has a genuine interest in working to support all pupils to achieve the best outcomes . We are seeking an ambitious and dedicated teacher for 2.5 days in a Year 5 class with 1 additional day for SEN related work throughout the school.
The successful candidate will:- Encourage children to be independent, inquisitive learners
- Have excellent subject knowledge
- Have high expectations and understand how to encourage and support every child to achieve their best.
- Be able to build strong relationships with parents, staff and children and the wider community
- Support the values of the school
- Be able to make a clear commitment to whole school improvement
- Lead and manage staff
- Be willing to adapt, improve and evolve with the school
- Contribute to the full life of the school
- Be able to advise the SLT on SEND issues
SEND
Hold the SEND qualification or be willing to undertake training to achieve this qualification.
Have a comprehensive overview of SEN throughout the school and be able to develop and oversee the implementation of the SEND strategy.
Maintain records and documentation for SEND pupils at all stages of the code of practice.
Provide training and support to all staff.
Work with other agencies to achieve the best outcomes for children with SEN.
An SEN allowance will be payable.
