The Governors invite applications for the post of Headteacher of our outstanding United Reform (Voluntary Controlled) Primary School which presents an exciting opportunity to join an outstanding school during a period of significant development and expansion.

The children of Barrow URC Primary School are a wonderful testimony to the ethos of respect, high expectations and success which characterise our school. We are a popular and thriving school in the heart of the Ribble Valley with a warm, welcoming inclusive environment.

A supportive and engaged Governing Body, staff and pupils will be pleased to work with an open, confident and dynamic leader. We are looking for someone to further embrace and develop our identity as a church school and create a vision for educating the whole child, for the whole of life.

We are looking for a leader who will:

Be an inspirational leader with a proven track record of outstanding leadership and management
within a Primary School.

Be committed to providing a diverse and challenging curriculum for all children.

Ignite the children's passion for learning both in and out of the classroom.

Applications must be completed on the Blackburn Diocese application form.

Shortlisting: 25th March 2021

Day 1 - Pre-interview task(s) 21st April 2021. The governing body are likely to ask shortlisted candidates to undertake a task(s) which will subsequently be used as part of the recruitment process.

Day 2 - Formal Interviews: 22nd April 2022
