Information
Our school is at the heart of the lovely village of Brindle, near Chorley. It enjoys an attractive rural setting with well-maintained facilities and excellent church and community links. We have a strong and supportive staff team, polite and engaging children with positive attitudes to learning, parents who work with the school to deliver the best education for their children and governors who work to ensure the school is the best it can be. In 2017 the school achieved a grading of `outstanding' in the SIAMS inspection and of `good' in the Ofsted inspection. The post involves a weekly teaching commitment of three half days in class (approximately 0.34 FTE including PPA).

We are seeking a headteacher who:
  • Has the skills and resilience to lead and develop a strong and effective team with sensitivity, respect and impartiality

  • Is creative in developing a rich and varied curriculum that meets the needs of all pupils and fully develops each child's potential

  • Will use their teaching commitment to model good pedagogic practice and to put excellent teaching at the heart of the school's educational success
