We are a one-form entry primary school on the outskirts of Oswaldtwistle.
We have 7 classes:
each with a maximum of 30 children in each class. West End has been serving the local community by providing a good standard of education for over 110 years.
In 2022 the school converted to an Academy and joined the LET Education Trust. Through our partnership with
the other schools in the Trust, we aim to improve the outcomes for our children through the sharing of good practice and collaboration.
First and foremost, West End is looking for an excellent teacher for one of our classes.
The successful candidate will assume the role of class teacher and will be expected to deliver our
ambitious curriculum. In relation to the role of SENDCo we are looking for a candidate who has prior experience of this position or someone who is able to demonstrate relevant experience and understanding in the area of SENDCo.
If required, the successful candidate will be provided with training to carry out the role of
SENDCo.
This will include supporting the successful applicant to complete the NPQ for SENDCo and also attend induction training for candidates who are new to the role.
You will:
- also become part of a wider SEND network across the Trust and attend the termly meetings.
- Continuous professional development and weekly SENDCo release time will also be offered
- as part of this vital role within our school.
If you would like to find out more about this role please feel free to contact me on 01254
