  • Location: North Chorley
  • Job Type: Temporary (Maternity Cover from September 2024 to April 2025, with potential extension)

    We are seeking a dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join a supportive and vibrant school in North Chorley. This temporary position is to cover maternity leave, commencing in September 2024. The role offers a daily rate reflective of your experience and provides an opportunity to make a significant impact on the early stages of our students’ education.

    Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and informative lessons that adhere to the national curriculum.
  • Assess and record students’ progress, preparing them for key assessments.
  • Create a positive learning environment that promotes student well-being and encourages a love for learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the school community.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and development.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the needs and interests of the students.

    Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, particularly Year 2.
  • Strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • Ability to create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
