Information
The Governors of Slyne-with-Hest St Luke’s Church of England Primary School are looking to appoint a highly-motivated, enthusiastic KS1 teacher, to join our team which was graded good by Ofsted (January 2022) and had a very successful SIAMs inspection in March 2024.

The successful candidate will be an able KS1 practitioner and will initially be responsible for teaching Year 1. In September, the school will have have 201 pupils on role organised into 7 single aged classes.

The Governors are looking for a teacher who: 
  • is committed to promoting the strong Christian ethos of our school 
  • has high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour 
  • is creative and innovative along with having a sense of humour 
  • has excellent teaching skills and the ability to inspire the children they are teaching 
  • can work as part of a dedicated team and be flexible in their approach
  • is able to take on subject leadership responsibilities – ideally the successful candidate will lead PE across the school and also be willing to take an active part in supporting the well established extra-curricular sports provision including the involvement in the local SSCo partnership and related tournaments

  • Desirable Experience

  • Supporting the wider PE curriculum and extra-curricular activities
