Year 2 Teacher - Maternity Cover

Reed/LTA are seeking an experienced Year 2 Teacher to join our dedicated team on a maternity cover basis starting in September. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator with a vast knowledge of Key Stage 1 to make a significant impact on young learners’ lives.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Delivering engaging and dynamic lessons to Year 2 pupils in accordance with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
  • Planning, preparing, and assessing lessons to track and enhance pupil progress.
  • Creating a nurturing and inspiring learning environment.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the school’s ethos.
  • Communicating effectively with parents and guardians regarding pupil progress and development.
  • Participating in school events and activities.


    Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in Key Stage 1.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
  • Strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and assessment framework.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate pupils.
  • Commitment to professional development and staying up to date with educational research.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team of teachers and support staff.
