The Governors of Whalley CE Primary School are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and passionate teacher who is able to provide a high-quality start to our children’s educational journey. You will have the opportunity to be part of a thriving EYFS unit working alongside a welcoming and dedicated team. The post is permanent and is due to start in September 2024. Please see the Welcome Letter and Person Specification for details.

We are seeking an excellent teacher to join our successful team who:
  • has a passion and enthusiasm for working with Early Years children
  • has a thorough knowledge of the EYFS Statutory Framework;
  • is able to inspire, motivate and challenge children;
  • is nurturing – helping children to develop as confident, independent workers;
  • has experience of planning and supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities;
  • can help to build upon the established use of our Forest School area within Early Years
  • Has undertaken or is prepared to attain a Forest School Level Three qualification
  • will be organised and effective in developing pupil confidence and supporting pupil progress;
  • works well as part of a successful team, working in partnership with the partner class teacher in the EYFS phase;
  • applies consistent behaviour management strategies that promotes a positive classroom; 
  • fosters positive working relationships with pupils, parents and the community;
  • actively supports the Christian ethos of the school;
  • is able to make positive contributions to the transition for new cohorts starting school and for children moving into Year One
  • sets very high standards and holds themselves to account for their performance
