Summary
The Loyne Specialist School is an incredibly successful special school rated by Ofsted as Outstanding for five consecutive inspections. We are a highly specialist school with a passion for providing the very best education to children and young people from the ages of 4 to 19. Parents value the difference that we make to their child’s life and we regularly receive comments such as, “The Loyne is a rare gem and honestly hands-down the best school I have dealt with"

We are now seeking to recruit 4 committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our fabulous school and welcoming and supportive staff team.   We are searching for people with a positive work ethos and a passion for working with children and young people with special needs and disabilities.  We are truly child- centred and we want staff who will support the best possible outcomes for all of our learners through our engaging, innovative and nurturing school environment.

In addition to our education offer, we also have a separate adult provision called the Grizedale Centre that supports young people to manage their own wellbeing, physical and emotional health and promotes their presence and opportunities in the local community.

In applying for a Teaching Assistant role, you must be able to demonstrate a dedication and a willingness to work flexibly, in any part of our setting, to support and enhance the vision and values of our school.  We are looking for staff who will form positive relationships with children and young adults with special needs, and be willing to undertake various duties to support them, including ensuring they remain safe, developing their physical abilities and supporting their behaviour. The role will also include supervision and assistance with feeding, toileting (including changing) and personal care.

In return we will offer you:

  • A modern and well looked after working environment
  • An experienced, welcoming and supportive staff team
  • A broad range of training opportunities
  • A commitment to staff wellbeing, including a dedicated wellbeing team
  • Access to the Employee Assistance Programme (including independent advice, support and counselling)
