Summary
We are looking for a person the be the lead practitioner in our Nursery setting (Term Time only).  They would have the responsibility for running the Nursery, working alongside our EYFS Lead directing and supporting a Teaching Assistant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the planning and delivery of a creative and stimulating curriculum.  The successful candidate will need to have an Early Years specific qualification as per the DfE specified list of EY qualifications.

The ideal candidate will be someone who can work in partnership with the rest of the EYFS team to monitor success and manage areas for improvement.  As Nursery Lead you would need to have an understanding of how to meet the individual needs of children from differing backgrounds and of differing abilities.

Essential Qualifications

Early Years specific qualification as per the DfE specified list of EY qualifications

A minimum of GCSE (or equivalent) Grade 4 in Maths and English.


Desirable Qualifications

Paediatric First aid training (The successful canidate will need to have this qualification prior to starting)

Relevant safeguarding/child protection training undertaken and a willingness to update training regularly

Essential Experience

At least two years of classroom experience in an EYFS environment.

Experience monitoring and recording child’s development.

Experience of working with pupils with SEND, and pupils with emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Experience communicating with parents / carers. 

Desirable Experience

Experience working alongside a senior leadership team to develop the quality of the curriculum and learning activities.
